Specialization

At the Centro Europeu de Línguas, we offer two types of specialisation courses: 

- Training for Translators and Interpreters
- Training for Language Teachers

These courses are designed for those looking to start or enhance their careers in these fields. Find more details about each course below.

TRAINING OF TRANSLATORS AND INTERPRETERS

This course is aimed at young adults and adults with advanced knowledge of two or more languages, but without formal certification in translation. It is ideal for those wishing to start a career as a translator or interpreter, or for professionals looking to update their techniques and methodologies.

goal:

  • To prepare professionals for a career in translation and interpretation, using the latest methodologies and tools. 

Entry Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary education (12th year) in a linguistic field or a degree in Translation/Languages and Literatures. 

Target Audience:

  • Young adults/adults with advanced proficiency in two or more languages, but without formal translation certification.
  • Professionals qualified in Translation but lacking practical experience.

Assessment Methodology:

  • Continuous assessment based on class participation and progress throughout the course.
  • An annual final exam to consolidate acquired knowledge.

TRAINING FOR TRAINERS IN LANGUAGES

ERASMUS+ Internships

This course is designed for professionals who wish to start or improve their careers as foreign language teachers. It is perfect for those with some teaching experience who want to further develop their pedagogical skills.

goal:

  • To equip language trainers with the best teaching practices and innovative methodologies.

Entry Requirements:

  • A degree in Languages or Humanities, with some experience as a language trainer, but without formal pedagogical training.

Assessment Methodology:

  • Continuous Assessment: Based on progress and participation throughout the sessions.
  • Presentation: Clear and simple explanation of a linguistic concept (grammar structure and/or vocabulary area).
  • Simulated Teaching Practice: Each participant will have at least two simulated teaching experiences of 60 minutes.
  • Research Project: Development of a research project and preparation of materials.

Erasmus+ Internship:

  • At the end of the course, participants will have the opportunity to join a 3-month Erasmus+ internship in a professional setting in another European country. Contact us for more information.
